Center City includes the central business district and central neighborhoods of Philadelphia, including Fitler Square, Rittenhouse Square, Washington Square, Art Museum, and other surrounding neighborhoods. The area is known for being one of the most incredible dining destinations in the country, and its vast shopping scene brings people from all over the area to the heart of Philadelphia. Travel + Leisure Magazine recently said that Philadelphia “might just be the best food city on the East Coast right now” in an August 2018 article. Center City Philadelphia is the largest growing metropolis in the Tri-state area, as countless high-rises, condominiums, office buildings and parks are being constructed every single day. Headquartered in Philly is the new Comcast building, the Comcast Technology Center, which was recently completed, the Ritz Carlton hotel and Condominium, and our ‘coming soon’ W Hotel. Center City Philadelphia features easy access to the sports complexes in Center City by car or subway, and it sits between two rivers — the Delaware and the Schuylkill. Greater Center City has grown into the second-most populated downtown area in the United States, after Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Center City is bounded by South Street to the south, the Delaware River to the east, the Schuylkill River to the west, and Vine Street to the north. The area’s rich history is unmatched anywhere in the country, between the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and its historic museums — including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as the Barnes Foundation — and historic Old City, which includes the birthplace of America’s independence. City Hall, where cases are tried and people get married, all and all, the most beautiful building in the city with William Penn atop its tower.
